Chetasyog
A Universal Perspective of Human Living
Every human being wants to live with peace, clarity, and wellbeing. Yet many of us understand the outer world far better than we understand ourselves. Chetasyog offers a Universal Perspective of Human Living by helping us understand the complete human experience.
The Two Inseparable Aspects of Existence
According to Chetasyog, every human being has two inseparable aspects of existence: Being-Life (impersonal) and Being-Self (personal).
1. Being-Life (Impersonal)
This is the universal life principle that animates all living beings. Chetasyog calls this Life-Is — the Cosmic Consciousness.
- Life-Is is not our personal identity.
- It is the living intelligence that makes life possible.
- Without Life-Is, no living being can exist.
2. Being-Self (Personal)
This is our individual experience of being alive. Being-Self has two dimensions: Selfeel and Self-Me.
Selfeel
Selfeel is our natural, direct capacity to sense and experience life. It is biological, instinctive, and present in every living being. Animals, birds, trees, and human beings all possess Selfeel. It connects us immediately with the present moment.
Self-Me
Self-Me is uniquely human. It is our mental and emotional identity — thoughts, memories, beliefs, imagination, language, personality, social identity, expectations, and accumulated experiences. Self-Me is what enables humans to create families, cultures, science, technology, art, and civilization. It is one of humanity's greatest gifts. But it is also one of humanity's greatest challenges.
When Self-Me is understood and guided wisely, it becomes a source of creativity, compassion, responsibility, and meaningful living. When Self-Me is misunderstood or left unconscious, it easily becomes trapped in comparison, fear, attachment, ego, overthinking, conflict, and emotional suffering.
The Central Insight of Chetasyog
Most human suffering does not arise because of Life-Is. It arises because Self-Me does not understand itself.
When Self-Me reacts unconsciously, it accumulates MINE (Mental Imprint Native Emotions). Over time, these imprints create MESS (Mental Emotional Stressful State). Through awareness, observation, and reflection, MESS gradually transforms into MEAL (Mental Emotional Awareness Learning). As this learning deepens, PRAGYA — practical wisdom — naturally develops.

The Purpose of Chetasyog
Chetasyog is not about rejecting Self-Me. Nor is it about escaping the world. Its purpose is to help Self-Me understand itself so that it can live in harmonious synergy with Life-Is.
When Being-Life and Being-Self function in harmony:
- We become more aware than reactive.
- We become wiser than impulsive.
- We experience greater balance in success and failure.
- Relationships become healthier.
- Decisions become clearer.
- Wellbeing becomes more stable.
Whole Oneself Wellbeing
True wellbeing is not achieved by caring only for the body, only for the mind, or only for beliefs. Whole Oneself Wellbeing arises when we understand and harmonize all aspects of our existence: Being-Life through Life-Is, and Being-Self through Selfeel and Self-Me. This harmonious relationship is called Chetasyog.
- It is not a religion.
- It is not a philosophy.
- It is not a psychology.
- It is not an ideology.
It is a Universal Perspective of Human Living — a practical way of understanding how every human being can live with greater awareness, wisdom, and harmony.
